DATA ENTRY METHODS & INFORMATION
-
NORMAL CALCULATION is the standard data
entry method for Georgia users and allows for entry
of sales, exemption and tax colleted data for the
business location. plus sales, exemption and tax
colleted data in any of 159 Georgia counties. Tax
rates are determined for each county by period end
date.
- You may back into taxes for any known sales
category. This will allow you to enter gross sales
(including taxes) by county and have SALESTAXX
2003 determine the tax and sales amounts for the
particular sales category.

BACK IN METHODS include
- TOTAL SALES KNOWN/ALL TAXES KNOWN. This method
will determine tax amounts if you know the total
sales of the business and the taxes collected
by county.
- TAXES ONLY KNOWN. This method will determine
tax amounts from taxes collected by counties only.
- The AUTO DEALERS VERSION calculates county
distribution schedules using the formulae approved
by the Department of Revenue for automobile dealers.
Hardware Requirements:
To successfully operate SALESTAXX
2003 you need
- Windows 95,98,ME,XP or Windows NT version 4.0 or
2000.
- Pentium 133 or greater speed, 32 mb RAM recommended.
- A monitor capable of displaying a minimum of 600
x 800 pixels.
- Hard Drive space required is 20 MB
- Laser Printer recommended. Some versions of late
model desk jet printers are capable of printing with
PCL 4 or greater language are acceptable. Multifunction
printers, low end desk jet or inkjet printers and
dot-matix printers are not acceptable for printing
state forms.
