John Andrews, president of Burton Software Company, started Burton Software Company, then known as FormsPlus Software, in 1989 to provide payroll software for accounting firms. Since that time, over five thousand companies, from one man firms to large Fortune 500 companies have used software provided by us. Burton Software Company was one of the first companies certified to provide electronic reporting of tax returns to state governments.

In 2003, Burton Software sold its' highly successful sales tax reporting software to eFileSolutions of Baton Rouge, Louisiana so that we could re-concentrate our efforts toward the growth of our long-standing cornerstone software producing
W-2 and 1099 forms.
